Corner of Home explores the sense of belonging that a room can offer. I began developing this work during my second year in Brussels, living in a simple rooftop room with a skylight. In one corner beneath the window sat a single sofa, a chair whose name I could never quite place, and a side table. My landlord had kindly given me a lamp, and I felt fortunate to have found a place to call home in Brussels. Every morning and evening, this corner became my pocket of peace.

My creative process always begins with drawing, evolving from sketches into collages. The most demanding aspect is discovering the right color and texture among countless pieces of print ephemera. Each carefully chosen detail is a physical trace of time and material, transformed into the distinctive language of my work.

Here are some cherished corners from my friends' homes, each brought to life through collage. They’re made with the print ephemerals I found in Brussels.
